Why Should You Be Selected To Participate
I have desire to see Wilson County grow in community and aid in the success of the next generation.
Expectations From/For Participation
I would like to work with others to address some of the obstacles affecting the welfare of children in Wilson County, particularly those in the impoverished areas of our county and those within the foster care system.
Community Challenge / Issue / Goal
Working with CASA beside DCS and the juvenile court system, I have been stunned by the number of the children in our community who get trapped in the cycle of state custody, only to repeat the same mistakes with their children and the cycle continues generation to generation. I hope to gain relationships with other community minded people to pool our resources and endeavor to find solutions to break cycles of poverty, educational challenges and the hopelessness that plague many of our children in Wilson County.
